The Festival de Música Moderna de Corroios (The Corroios Modern Music Festival) is a rock festival that has been started in 1996 to evolve the modern Portuguese music. A group of people with experience and particular interest in the Portuguese music formed a team and they are responsible for organizing the festivals. Every year they organize a contest for one month in Corroios. The bands can introduce their music during this festival. The winner has the opportunity to give a concert and release their album.

The Festival de Música Moderna de Corroios started with the name "Festival de Música Novos Caminhos", which means Festival of New Paths. This is one of the objective: searching for new possibilities and ways to discover new talents of the Portuguese music.
The first festival includes several projects like Yellow W Van, Factos Reais, Easyway, Plasma, The Poppers, Sugar, Dapunksportif e New Connection.
In 2007 was the 12th annual festival. Bands included The Doll and The Puppets. These latests were from Coimbra and the winners with a unanimously voted by the judges.
In 2008 The Profilers won the contest and have released their first album. The band is from Sintra and have a sound of rock, blues, jazz and club.
